Account & Access

If your school or organisation has enrolled you, your teacher or administrator will provide your login details. If you're signing up independently, visit wearelumina.co and select 'Sign Up' to create your account.

Select 'Forgot My Password' on the login page and enter the email address linked to your account. A reset link will be sent to your email. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes. You do not need to contact support to reset your password — the process is fully self-service.

Yes. You can download the Lumina app from the App Store, or access the platform through your web browser on any device — phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. Just visit wearelumina.co to get started.

Double-check the email address and password your school or academy provided, paying attention to capital letters and spaces. If it still doesn't work, speak to your programme lead — they'll be able to check your account and reset your details if needed.

No. Each account is personal to you. Sharing login details is against our Terms of Service and means your progress and badges won't be accurate. If someone else wants to use Lumina, they need their own account.

The Platform

The 7 pillars are the subject areas that make up the Lumina curriculum: Creative Identity, Art & Making, Digital Design, Content Creation, Entrepreneurship, AI & Technology, and Financial Intelligence. Each pillar contains structured courses and lessons.

Most lessons take around 60 minutes to complete, including watching the content, working through the activities, and submitting your task at the end.

Every lesson follows the same five-step structure: Learn, Think, Scenario, Test, Do. This takes you from understanding a concept through to applying it in a hands-on task.

Lessons within a course are designed to build on each other, so we recommend doing them in order. However, you can explore different pillars at any time.

AI Tutor

The AI Tutor is your personal learning assistant on the Lumina platform. You can ask it questions about the content you're studying and it will explain concepts, give examples, and guide your understanding. It's powered by artificial intelligence.

Yes. The AI Tutor is designed to operate within educational boundaries. It will not respond to inappropriate requests, and it doesn't provide personal, medical, legal, or financial advice. It's there to help you learn — nothing more.

You'll have a chat history with the AI Tutor so you can scroll back through recent conversations, but it doesn't stay forever. If the AI Tutor helps you with something important, make a note of it at the time. Your conversations are private and are not shared with other users.

The AI Tutor is designed to support your learning within Lumina's curriculum. It may be able to explain general concepts, but it's not a general-purpose homework tool.

Tasks & Badges

Go to the Action Task section at the end of the lesson. You'll find the task brief and submission area there. Complete the task, upload your work, and submit.

You can upload images (JPG, PNG) from the internet. You cannot upload files directly from your phone's camera roll — images must be sourced from the web as part of the task instructions.

Badges are awarded as you complete lessons and milestones across the 7 pillars. They're a way to track your progress and see how far you've come on the platform.

No. Lumina badges are issued by Lumina and reflect your progress on the platform. They are not formal academic qualifications or industry-recognised certifications.

For Parents & Institutions

Yes. Lumina is designed with safety at its core. There are no messaging, chat, or social features between users. All content is reviewed before publication, and the AI Tutor operates within strict educational boundaries. You can read our full Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy and Online Safety Policy on our website.

If your child is enrolled through a school, academy, or other institution, their programme lead will have access to a dashboard showing progress data. If your child signed up independently, they can show you their progress within their account.
